Crash & Burn was formed on the 8th of February 2005, during battlefield Vietnam. Most clans have a homepage etc. before a server, this wasn't the case with Crash & Burn they had a server before everything else, and this is where it all began.

Blach & AngelFire aka Taberdrengen & TaberTQsen at that time became tired of people fighting over choppers, so what do you do? We rented a server and modified the server to customise combat and replaced all vehicles with choppers. As time went by Crash & Burn's community grew and grew and had to get a homepage and recruit admins like (tts_GR, tom_aus_su, StynX, janis petke, Sixkiller etc). We had players and admins from all over the world, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Finland even from the US. The Battlefield Vietnam server was popular for 7-8 month until BF2 was released.

When BF2 was released we rented a BF2 server at clan-server.dk when they got the ranking. We were one of the first Danish servers running with 64 slots. Some months later our Battlefield Vietnam server was converted to BF2, to many of our member disappointment, but we couldn't run from the fact, that the server was empty most of the time. Everything went very well for our BF2 server and we managed to get on the worldwide top 20 (14-16), but it's tough competition ranked so high and one mistake can be fatal for the server. We were in top 20 for around 3-4 months.

During BF2 Crash & Burn went from a community to a clan, a mostly fun clan, but we did play a couple of friendly wars. Members have come and gone as we followed the games development during the Battlefield series and all involved will be remembered for their great work as admin(s) and great pals to have fun with on the servers.

When BF2142 came out we converted one of our 2 x BF2 servers to BF2142 when clan-server got the ranking. Crash & Burn got a bit divided during this time. Some members thought BF2142 just wasn't their style, while others only wanted to play BF2142 from now on. As we got split up BF2 vs BF2142 our BF2 server got more and more unpopular since the most active members played BF2142. The time that came was a hard decision for Blach & AngelFire, but the fact was, our BF2142 section grew and grew and became much bigger than our BF2 section. We couldn't ignore the fact that the BF2 server was empty most of the time. The terrible day came where we had to close the BF2 section down and for those few BF2 members remaining, we recommended they join =RDR= which some of them did.

When our BF2 section was shut down we had 1x 64 slot BF2 server and a 32 slot BF2142 server. They were all converted to 2 x 48 slot servers still with clan-server.dk. As during the popular times under BFV and BF2 we and our members have managed to do great work that make our servers popular to play on, the same is the case with our BF2142 server(s) and today we have 3 x 64 slot and 1 x 48 slot BF2142 servers located in the UK.

Blach & AngelFire would like to thank everybody that is part or has been part of Crash & Burn and the work they have put into it, to make what Crash & Burn is today. You are all remembered and none forgotten.

People might ask where did the name Crash & Burn really came from? Well it did come from our Battlefield Vietnam server. In the beginning it was called Danish chopper school. One day there was an incident on the server. A guy enters the server and asked Blach "who will teach us to fly?" Where Blach answers "well first you fly, then you crash, then you fly some more, then you Crash & Burn and then you eventually learn."
