RCT T.Stowe"]Helmuth, I am in my 23rd year with the military and it has been one hell of a ride. The discomforts, likes, dislikes, awesome moments, etc will exist with any job that you decide to tackle. I HIGHLY recommend that you give the military a fair shot for at least four years. The educational benefits alone are worth that much of an investment of your time. I would discourage using the delayed entry program, but if that is your only path into the military then I support the decision. I highly recommend that you choose the officer ...
I thank you for your honest opinion.
I think I might go for Air Force I am very close to being done with my bachelors degree and have always wanted to have the experience under my belt. Who knows I might decide to stick around for 20 years.
For members that are in the military, or have been (lord knows we have plenty) What is the process like? What happens first. I submitted my info to be contacted by a recruiter. Should I make the first move and contact them? Is there an Officer delayed entry program?
